Opening Day of Softball Season 2011 was today. They won 4-3, and the Kid played well both offensively & defensively.
She plays all year 'round (has for 3 years now), but each season's Opening Day has it's own special feeling.
As for me, I was just glad it wasn't raining or snowing. I enjoy watching her play, even if I don't understand all of the subtle nuances of the game.
