NaBloPoMo Day 2
Wednesday, 2 November 2011
If you knew that whatever you ate next would be your last meal, what would you want it to be?
I'd want it to be a bowl of Cheerios and 1% milk. And can I have a refill, too?
Cheerios has been my go-to food since I was a baby. My Mom said she started feeding me them when I could pick them up by myself. She also said that if she knew that Cheerios would then become my major food group (followed by chocolate, Diet Coke, and bread) that she might have reconsidered that choice.
Cheerios is not just for breakfast, oh no. It's for lunch when I'm in a hurry, and dinner when I can't think of/be bothered to make anything.
However, I am a Cheerios purist. I only really like the original kind. I dabbled in eating the Honey Nut kind, but my true love is in the big bright yellow box.
Sure, I've tried (and liked) other cereals. Raisin Bran (Kellogs, not Post) is good so long as there's raisins; Rice Chex is pretty OK; Crispix is alright; and Life is good, but I can't have it very much.
And yes, Cheerios is supposed to be super good for lowering cholesterol, blah blah blah. I don't care about that. I just like them.
